My Sewing Room would like to wish you a Happy New Year! We have a number of wonderful things we are participating in, Quilt Canada 2010 and 1 Million Pillowcase Event. etc.
Just a reminder, My Sewing Room will be closed New Year's Day Friday January 1st. |

| One Million Pillowcase Challenge |
"Calling all quilters, sewers and crafters! American Patchwork & Quilting is challenging you to join our efforts to Make a Pillowcase, Make a Difference. Every pillowcase can make a difference in your community. A pillowcase can provide comfort for a cancer patient, hope for a foster child, encouragement for a battered woman, or beauty for a nursing home resident.
"My Sewing Room will be offering our first almost free pillowcase class on Monday January 18th at 1:30pm! The price of admission is the first pillowcase you make stays with us for donation to a local charity and your second pillowcase goes home with you. We are still looking for possible donation sites so please if you have any contacts please get in touch with them on our behalf. We need to know where and how many pillowcases the group would be able to use. I am looking forward to donating as many pillowcases as possible in Calgary and the surrounding area.
