of Canada Quilts needs to locate some
Quilts |
 |
Girl Guides of Canada
is celebrating their centennial this
year and Quilt Canada has asked Girl
Guides to put on a Special Exhibit "100
years of Guiding" in quilts. Girl
Guides have been making quilts for years,
but many have been made as service projects
and given away to those in need. Others
have been made as gifts for retiring
Guiders while others have been raffled
off to raise funds for camps and activities. |
So, although we have asked our Guiding
members if they would like to display
their quilts, we also know that there
are many quilts ‘out there’
that do not belong to Guiding members,
but perhaps some people would be willing
to lend their ‘Guiding’
quilts to be displayed at the Quilt
Canada 2010 show this year.
My Sewing Room is asking anyone with
one or two of these "Guiding"
quilts to email Edie
Jubenville or call her directly
(403)547-4742 for more information.

of Canada please visit their website www.girlguides.ca |
