Sales Clerk

Skills

  1. Comfortable working with computers on a network.
  2. Knowledge of Sewing Machines in General, their Use and Features

Duties

  1. Sell and promote sewing products for My Sewing Room
  2. Demonstrate any sewing machine we carry in an effective manner
  3. Sell a products using the MSR POS system
  4. Lookup inventory information using the MSR POS system
  5. Maintain the inventory
    -Keep tidy all the various inventory items
    -Keep the sales area neat and clean
    -Arrange the inventory in pleasing displays
    -Assist the Manager on Duty with any Part/Accessories & machine orders and assist in maintaining the inventory      
  6. Ensuring Special Order Customers are contacted regarding their orders
  7. Looking up information about product or part using MSR’s POS System
  8. Entering Customer Information, being able to search for customer information using the MSR POS system
  9. Assisting customers with fabric and or sewing Machine needs
  10. Work with the IT department to keep the inventory Database accurate and up to date.

Job Benefits & Compensation:

  1. Flexible Hours
  2. 5 shifts per week Full-time
  3. 3 shifts per week Part-time. MUST be willing to work some weekends and evenings
  4. Casual Office dress required.
  5. Store discount as per policies and Procedures Manual

Sewing Machine Dept. Floor Manager
Availability: Part or Fulltime

Skills:

  1. Comfortable working with computers on a network.
  2. Knowledge of Sewing Machines in General, their Use and Features
  3. Reliable
  4. Organized
  5. Familiar with Quilting and sewing terminology
  6. Capable of assisting Floor Staff in their duties should the need arise.
  7. Comfortable in a teaching role in a small classroom setting.

Duties:

  1. Sell and promote sewing machines for My Sewing Room
  2. Demonstrate any sewing machine we carry in an effective manner
  3. Sell a sewing machine using the MSR POS system
  4. Lookup inventory information using the MSR POS system
  5. Maintain the sewing Machine area
    -Keep track of all the various machines and accessories
    -Keep the Machine area neat and clean
    -Arrange the sewing machines in pleasing displays
    -Ensure that all machines have the correct prices displayed and clearly marked
    -Assist the Service Manager with any Part/Accessories & machine orders and assist in maintaining the inventory      
  6. Ensuring Special Order Customers are contacted regarding their Sewing Machine Dept orders
  7. Looking up information about product or part using MSR’s POS System
  8. Entering updating and following up leads using MSR’s point of sale system
  9. Entering Customer Information, being able to search for customer information using the MSR POS system
  10. Assisting customers with fabric and or sewing Machine needs should the store be busy.
  11. Work with the IT department to keep the inventory Database accurate and up to date.

Job Benefits & Compensation:

  2. 4 Days a Week Minimum. MUST be willing to work some weekends and evenings

Longarm Quilter
Availability: Part or Fulltime

Skills:

  1. Comfortable working with computers on a network.
  2. Knowledge of Sewing Machines in General
  3. Reliable
  4. Organized
  5. Familiar with Quilting and sewing terminology
  6. Capable of assisting Floor Staff in their duties should the need arise.
  7. Good Written and Oral English Language skills
  8. Positive cheerful attitude
  9. Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Duties:

  1. Quilt, quilts for customers on a computer guided Longarm machine
  2. Assist customers in  choosing appropriate patterns for their quilts
  3. Sell a products using the MSR POS system
  4. Lookup inventory information using the MSR POS system
  5. Maintain the longarm inventory
    -Keep tidy all the various inventory items
    -Keep the sales area neat and clean
    -Arrange the inventory in pleasing displays
    -Assist the Manager on Duty with any related orders and assist in maintaining the inventory      
  6. Ensure Quilting Customers are contacted regarding their orders
  7. Looking up information about product or parts using MSR’s POS System
  8. Entering Customer Information, being able to search for customer information using the MSR POS system
  9. Assisting customers with fabric and batting needs
  10. Work with the IT department to keep the inventory Database accurate and up to date.

Job Benefits & Compensation:

  2. 4 Days a Week Minimum for fulltime job sharing opportunity or evenings and weekends for part -time.
  3. Casual Office dress required.
