My Sewing Room offers on site Sewing Machine & Serger Service on all makes and models.

We are also an authorized Brother and Bernina dealer able to service and repair all makes and models of Bernina and Brother sewing machines. All Bernina and Brother warranty work is done right in store and guaranteed by My Sewing Room, a terrific perk to buying a sewing machine or serger from My Sewing Room.

Service Centers Are Not All The Same

We pride ourselves on our attention to detail and taking the necessary time with your machine. A proper service should never be rushed; plastic pieces can be broken, parts become lost, serious damage can occur shortening the length of your machine's life and posing a danger to the you the operator.

We encourage you to use your local Sewing Machine Dealer for any repair and/or warranty work, this saves you time and money on replacement parts and it ensures all proper service techniques are used.

Did You Know?

Due to Alberta's dry climate it is extremely important to have your sewing machine or serger serviced at least every 2 years depending on usage. All of the lubricants used in manufacturing and service will dry out. Greases can turn into a hard crust, even the highest quality oils turn into a gummy varnish over time as well! This puts unnecessary stress on all parts of the machine including the motor! Frequent service will minimize damage and any unessary repair bills.

MY SEWING ROOM Information

Shipping times on machine parts can vary drastically, contact our service technicians as soon as you can if you are aware of any possible parts problems or replacements. Keeping us informed can decrease the cost and shorten the length of service! If you are having any issues while sewing, hearing strange noises, or a function is no longer working properly... let us know! If something occurred right before it stopped working please let us know that to!

Sewing Machine Service & Repair wait times vary depending on the season and number of customers on the waiting list. We encourage you to book a service appointment: The appointment allows you to keep your sewing machine and/or serger at home (if it is functioning) and we will call you when it is time for your service appointment. Pre-booked appointments are great as it allows you to finish that quilt and still be in the queue for a service!

General Serger Service $119.99 ($139.99 For Sergers with Coverstitch Function)
RUSH SERVICE General Service + $90.00 (Machine is serviced right away, Techs will stay Late if necessary) We Try for a 48Hr Turnaround if Possible.
PRIORITY SERVICE General Service + $40.00 (Machine is serviced within 1 Week, regardless of how Long the queue is)
For each additional hour of labor
on top of service		 $50.00
Firmware Upgrade $25.00 (No Charge if machine purchased from MSR)

Minimum service charge is $25.00+
